Communication Preferences


Frequently Asked Questions

#1 Create a Communication Group

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Email Management in left-side menu
  3. Click the Communication tab
  4. Click Add Preference button
  5. Enter a Name  e.g. Member Newsletter
  6. Enter a Description
  7. Click Save Changes button


#2 Set Display of Communication Preference(s)

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Email Management in left-side menu
  3. Click Settings tab
  4. Under the User Profile Section, in Label for Preferences field, enter a label for the menu item
  5. Under Description, enter more information about the menu item
  6. For Location of Preference Management on Profile Form, select where you want the preferences to appear on the Update Profile form
  7. For Display Preference Management on Profile Creation Form, select if you want the preferences to appear on the Create Profile form
  8. For Link to Preference Management from Profile Menu, select if you want to enable / disable the menu item to be displayed in the left-side menu of the User Profile screen
  9. To include an Unsubscribe link for emails, click to View FAQ


#3 Set Communication Preferences (End-User)

  1. The end user logs into the X-CD site
  2. The end user clicks Update Profile
  3. Then end user clicks Newsletter Preference in left-side menu
  4. The end user clicks the checkbox(es) to update their communication preferences
  5. The end user clicks Update button to save changes.


#4 Send Message to Communication Group

  1. Click Dashboard
  2. Click Contacts Module  in left-side menu
  3. Click Download button
  4. Click Contacts tab
  5. Click Go button for Contacts by Communication Preferences
  6. Select the Communication Group
  7. Click Advance button
  8. Click Send Email to compose a message
  9. Update the Subject and Message content.
  10. Click Preview Email
  11. Unselect any recipients whom should NOT receive the email.
  12. Scroll to the bottom, Click Send Email Now (to send immediately) OR Click the calendar icon to select a date and time, then click Schedule Email.

Overview

Communication Preferences allows you to create distinct communication groups to receive group communications. The end user will be able to select their preferences through their contact profile.
